Uncle Will

Once in his turn, he may play any card as if it was a General Store.

This character is named after Will Nebling, ex CEO at Mayfair Games (which distributed the game in the States until 2008). "Uncle" was his friendly nickname among daVinci executives. This card was given freely at conventions and fairs, like Lucca and Essen 2004. The picture approximately resembles the real Will Nebling.

Claus "The Saint"

During his phase 1, draws 10 cards: he gives 1 card to each player, then keeps the other cards.

This promotional character was conceived as sort of a Christmas present for daVinci newsletter readers -- the name obviously recalls Santa Clauss. He is evidently and intentionally unbalanced, and he has been barely laytested! So he is not suitable for serious games, being good as a gadget only.
To be balanced, this character should draw a number of cards according to the number of players (e.g. no. of players + 3), otherwise in 5 players he draws 5 cards per turn!

Johnny Kisch

Each time he puts a card in play, all cards with the same name in play are discarded.

Just like Uncle Will, this character is inspired by Jo Nikisch, head of Abacus Spiele which distributed the game in Germany up to 2009. The game accurately depicts the real character.
